Although I was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey in the 60's, I'm a Southern Belle at heart and relocated to the South in 2012.
As far back as I could remember, growing up in the 70's, we had home cooked meals and desserts baked from scratch! As a child, as far back as I can remember, at the age of 8, quite honestly, I had no desire to eat what was prepared for dinner. I cried at the sight of food! I would fall asleep at the dinner table and do a few other unmentionables when it came to the thought of having to eat food. As I got older, my desire for food took a 360-degree turn, so at the age of 12, I began to cook dinner for the family. By the time I was 14, not only was I cooking full course meals for the family, I tested the water to start baking and OMG!... that was not on my agenda, I fell in love with baking! In the beginning, I didn't like reading the instruction on what I was baking, because it seemed a bit complicating, but that didn't stop me. Now at that age of 57 (yes, 57 and that is my most recent photo....lol), throughout the years of creating meals and desserts, my passion for culinary arts has become a part of my life beyond what I ever imagined!
There's nothing more rewarding, than the joy of knowing that my culinary skills has blessed so many others all over world (literally, from across the US to the UK)! I have not studied at the most prestigious culinary institutes, nor have I had any formal training, yet, there's one thing for certain, "You can't measure Love", which has been my motto since I began my culinary journey. Now, I can't say that cooking and baking came easy, because it wasn't, I'd be lying if I said it did. My passion to create meals and desserts has catapulted me into developing my own recipes that my family, friends and coworkers have enjoyed through the years. I'm so grateful to all of those who continue to support my passion and I am as equally blessed, knowing that my culinary expressions of love leaves an everlasting impression on those that taste my products.
Thank you!
